The FairFrontiers project has carried out interdisciplinary research in forest-agriculture frontiers since 2022. We are pleased to share our research findings, methods and approaches in a public exhibition at the Kyoto Human Rights Research Institute on January 12-19, 2026.
The exhibition will feature interactive stories, photos, videos, maps and cultural pieces from field sites in Central Africa (Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo) and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia). In addition, there will be a section highlighting the perspectives of project researchers and collaborators, their reflections on frontiers and their hopes and aspirations for the research.
- The exhibition is free and open to all members of the public.
- Opening hours: Doors open at 9:30am and last entry for visitors are 4:30pm. (With the exception of 12 January: Open at 11:00am)
- Everyday during the exhibition, researchers will present short talks about their work from 3:00pm.

FairFrontiers (フェアフロンティアーズ) プロジェクトは2022年より森林と農業の境界地域（フロンティア）に関する学際的研究を実施してきました。このたび、京都にある世界人権問題研究センターにて、研究成果・方法論・アプローチについて展示を通してご紹介することと相成りました。
本展では、中央アフリカ（カメルーン、コンゴ民主共和国）と東南アジア（インドネシア、ラオス、マレーシア）の現地調査地から集めたインタラクティブな物語、写真、動画、地図、文化的な作品を紹介しています。さらに、展示の中ではプロジェクトメンバーの視点から見たフロンティア・研究への希望や今後の展望に焦点を当てていきます。
- 展示は一般公開で、入場料は無料です。
- 9:30～16:30まで入場可能です。（17:00閉館）1月12日のみ入場は11:00～
- 期間中は毎日15:00から、研究者によるショートトークが行われます。
- 講演は英語で行われますが、日本語の機械翻訳をご利用いただけます。(1月12日の市民セミナーは日・英で実施します)
